The Wikipedia is an "open source" internet encyclopedia, and blows Britannica away. My favorite use for it is pulling down definitions of new slang that comes my way, always useful in making dialogue sound more "real." Never be clueless again!

I can second that - Wikipedia rocks. I actually build myself an AvantGo custom chanel, pointing to http://test.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Randompage - this way I get a new random article on my Palm everytime I sync.

Yup, I love the Wikipedia on the Pocket PC (large memory card required): http://members.chello.nl/epzachte/Wikipedia/
As far as definitions of slang and stuff, check out www.urbandictionary.com - it has everything you can think of (acronyms, etc.)

Agredd that wikipedia is great. You should check out iPedia for the Palm OS which is a nice interface to wikipedia.
